Have you tried glamping with kids? It’s an outdoor activity with kids that’s a must! Kids love it and you don’t have to sacrifice on comfort with some of the gorgeous glamping sites that have now popped up all over the UK. Any kind of camping is great for kids to have a back to nature experience and unplug for a while to enjoy some quality family time but glamping is an easy way to have an outdoor experience without any hassle! There are loads of different unique options for glamping in the UK with a wide variety of glamping pods, glamping cabins, shepherd’s huts, safari tents, yurts and even horse boxes to choose from.   • Make S’mores and Toast Marshmallows on  a fire pit 

No glamping adventure is complete without making s’mores and toasting marshmallows whilst singing around a glamping site!

Things to do with kids whilst glamping

  • Try some Nature crafts

Encourage your kids to get back to nature by trying a nature craft – do a bark rubbing or make a Nature Boat or try one of our 100 nature crafts for kids.

  • Try Nature Journalling

Glamping is the perfect chance to try starting a nature journal. Kids will love exploring their new environment and searching for bugs. Stick some mud to a tree trunk or large rock and forage for nature facial features – acorns, sticks, leaves, stones, petals – anything that inspires. Fern or leaves could become hair, acorns for eyes!   • Forest Bathe

The Japanese have known for years that spending mindful time in the woods is beneficial for body and soul. Try forest bathing – take a moment to appreciate your surroundings and listen to the sounds around you: twittering birds, rustling bush, trickling streams, watch the sunlight through the leaves.   • Shadow puppets

Night time on a campsite is the best fun for kids! Try making shadow puppets at nighttime with kids, you can get ideas of shadow puppets to make here.

  • Ball Games

If your glamping site has a large space then bringing a ball is. a must! Check out these for inspiration for kid friendly glamping sites. Try a dribbling ball relay or knee football (you can only kick the ball with your knees!) Or dodge ball is a game that the kids will enjoy if you have enough players.
