Tree Stump Star Christmas Decorations

Handmade Christmas star DIY Decorations

Little Baby Archie will be five months old at Christmas and given that he is baby number 4, there’s very little he needs in terms of Christmas presents. There are more than enough toys in our house! So, I’ve decided to make him a treasure basket……a kind of Montessori style toy if you haven’t heard of one, anyway more on that later…………… While shopping for little things to put in said treasure basket, I discovered these mini wooden tree trunk beauties! Aren’t they cute?

I knew they would make lovely Christmas decorations so I painted some wooden stars with gold paint. I found the stars in my craft box (I think they were once bought to be used as table confetti) and, once painted added some gold glitter on top. Then simply glued them to the mini tree trunks along with some Jute string. I think they look quite effective, quite Scandi-like. And I just finished them in time for us getting the tree up tomorrow! I can’t wait! Decorating the Christmas tree signifies the beginning of Christmas for me (need to get my skates on with the present buying) and there might be some mulled wine and maybe even some little elves arriving……….Christmas is a coming!
