Fireworks, Flow and a mess of glitter. My #Little Loves

firework night party. firework night treats

I haven’t linked up to #littleloves in such a long time but they are often the posts I love reading back over because they contain hidden gems of moments that I would normally have forgotten. Documenting the little things was the appeal of blogging in the first place. So, I’m linking back up in a week that’s hosted a whole range of emotions. A week in which History was made and for the second time this year we felt knocked for six. I first heard the US election news feeding baby Archie at 4am, my day went downhill from then. Anyway, this week I have………

I popped into a charity shop last week to drop off some unwanted things. I NEVER find beautiful things in charity shops.  I follow with interest some Instagram accounts where they find beautiful vintage things in charity shops. I would love to know where they are shopping, anyway, I nearly did a little shout when I found this beauty among the second hand books.

You cannot help but be delighted in this if you are a lover of stationery and all things paper. It’s so pretty! I’m a stationery nut and love all the different types of paper, words of wisdom and pretty little extras there are in this magazine.

Watched

There. Is. So. Much. Good. TV. at the moment! I’m enjoying ‘The Missing’ but it is messing with my brain slightly. They’ve gone overboard a little on the ‘let’s keep the ending a secret’.

We’ve just started watching ‘The Crown’, it is all sorts of amazingness! I can’t believe how close a likeness Claire Foy is to the Queen, particularly her voice! It’s made me feel like I know them more as humans. I’ve always had a bit of a dislike for Prince Phillip but ‘The Crown’ makes him seem fairly endearing. We are binge watching this at the moment and can’t wait to watch the next one!

Wore

I used my birthday vouchers this week and so have been loving this beauty of a necklace, although it’s a little more work than home style so I’ll be waiting until a nice night out or until I return to work to wear it more often. It’s very instgrammable, I’ll be trying Instagram post maker later to get some good shots!

Heard

My brother bought me the JJ Heller CD for my birthday back in September and I’ve been loving her ever since. Her simple music videos (music videos are one of my favourite things) are also very inspiring and full of cutesy little images.

We had a day of ‘firework fun’ last weekend in the run up to going to our firework display and enjoyed chocolate covered apples as well as covering the entire house with glitter by making firework paintings! We took the older two to a firework display that we’d never been to before and loved it! It was smaller then the bigger firework displays near us at Crystal Palace and Blackheath but just as impressive and easier to navigate. They set the fireworks to music and I loved that we had displays as a tribute to Prince and Bowie with a purple heart inspired display to ‘Purple Rain’ and fireworks set to ‘Heroes’.  Although, Fin did say ‘why did they play Adele?’ and we had to inform him that not all the songs they played were from dead artists!

And lastly…..

It’s all about the school Christmas Fair here and I am finding myself doing an odd selection of jobs such as delivering leaflets, shopping in IKEA for mulled wine and collecting plastic milk bottles to make an igloo – all very random!

Have a lovely week x
