I am not very good at gardening. I just don’t have the patience. I want things to grow and I want them to grow now. But that said, I’m getting quite into it lately.
The kidlets love the garden. They’d spend every waking moment in it if they could. They like pottering and making ‘silly soup’ (essentially this involves picking up all matter of yucky things from the garden – snails included – and mixing them in a pot with water and mud! Delightful!)
Our best purchase for the kidlets has undoubtedly been the trampoline. Our little ones can bounce all day and frequently ask as soon as they wake up if they can go on the trampoline in their pjyamas. It also serves as a picnic table (they love eating their lunch on there), a playhouse and a hide-and-seek hangout.
One of the things I wanted to do in 2014 was to grow some fruit and vegetables. Our garden isn’t very big and doesn’t get much sun so this was going to be a tall task.
My Dad gave us some raspberry and strawberry clippings which I’m hoping survive as our last batch of these were eaten by snails last summer (maybe ‘silly soup’ will keep these at bay this year!)
Just trying to live a little of ‘The Good Life’!
