It makes me really proud to have one very special book on our bookshelves. It may be tatty, battered and held together with sellotape but it’s special because it was mine when I was little.
I remember pouring over the pictures when I was a little girl, I was particularly fascinated with the pictures of Maisie getting dressed, I liked her 1980s style dungarees and the fact that her T. Shirt matched her pants! I loved the fact that Maisie is ‘Miss Independent’. This fact has not gone unnoticed by Pip and Bean who marvel at Maisie making her own ice- cream breakfast! I am fully expecting to come downstairs one morning to find Pip and Bean knee deep in jelly!
Cute, adorable pictures – Pip loves the ones of their house and likes spotting Maisie’s bedroom.
A quirky little book with a positive-pro-independence message for little people! I live in hope that this book will encourage my 3 year old to dress himself. (Although, he would rather sing ‘ring a roses’ naked as Maisie does – this is Bean’s favourite part!)
